MISSIONS EMPHASES of OUR CHURCH

Pearlie Wells, Our WMU Director, does a wonderful job of promoting all the Missions Offerings and Emphases each year.

There are three key Mission Offering Emphases during each year in our Convention. We support each of these as part of the ministry of our church family to reach the World as the Lord has commanded us in the Great Commission.
The Reach Texas State Missions offering is done in the Fall of the year.  All funds raised in this special offering go directly to mission work right here in Texas.
The Annie Armstrong Easter Offering for North American Missions is done each year just before Easter to raise funding for missionaries here in North America.
The Lottie Moon Christmas offering for International Missions is done in December each year.  This helps support many missionaries around our world. (Praise the Lord we surpassed our goal of $3,000 in December for our 2011 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering! Thank you, Church!)
THANK YOU, CHURCH, FOR SUPPORTING MISSION GIVING!

SAMARITAN'S PURSE CHRISTMAS BOXES
FOR CHILDREN

This has become an annual emphasis in our church.  Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham, heads this great organization which promotes this wonderful project for children.  We recently received a personal letter from Franklin thanking us for our participation and great efforts in this ministry! Our own Bro. Dan Boon and wife, Janet, plus many other volunteers from our church family work year-round on this important project along with help from many others.  This past season we sent out over 600 boxes to help brighten the Christmas of boys and girls in struggling areas all over the world.  This past Fall we sent  between 700 and 800 boxes!   Praise the Lord!

We also are teaching and educating our Children about Missions in the Wednesday night programs: RA's for boys, GA's for Girls, and Mission Friends for Preschoolers.
